I don't know why these dopers get involved in social media rants. They will always loose. No way you can have a response to that. But anyway it just strengthens their tjop status.

Ag he so badly wants to be relevant. . If memory serves he never did PR.. mind you the only time I recall seeing him on the hollowed cobbles during a TDF stage he fell a lot.

I just thought SERGIO'S reply to him was brilliant .

One thing I noticed watching Sagan was his pedalling style - heals up as opposed to others that are heals down.

I make a conscious effort to keep the heels down but often find it's heels up.

How do you ride?

Oh everyone remember make subs for PR..

haven't made one yet and it's showing in my dismal score.

I got thinking that it could be better to pick 6 good riders rather than try find 2 good and 10 average.

I think you have to have the 12 in order to play ?

I gave a bit more thought into my PR line-up.

I neglected my team for a few weeks, make some changes last week..

But had some casualties after the weekend.. and had to boot pozzato as southeast don't have a wildcard for Roubaix.

Man, Sagan is so inspiring I may just dust off my tarmac while the mtb is in for some TLC and do the road thing.

Surprisingly he actually doesn't have a great pedal stroke(on paper) BUT it works for him and it clearly works well. His heels are slanted slightly outwards and he pulls up with an outward action. Anyone who rides LOOK KEO carbon blade (like myself) will know its not easy to come unclipped from those and he managed to do it up the last climb(was it 23rd street?) in world champs(how glad I am he can clip in quickly, Imagine loosing the race because of that)

“It’s bollocks, this race! You’re working like an animal; you don’t have time to piss; you wet your pants. You’re riding in mud like this; you’re slipping. It’s a piece of ****.”

– Theo de Rooy after the 1985 edition of the race. Then asked whether he would ride it again, he replied:

“Sure, it’s the most beautiful race in the world!”

“I will never come back”

– Franco Ballerini, but he did return, winning the race twice.

“Paris-Roubaix is bull****.”

– The often unprintable, always entertaining Bernard Hinault, after winning the race in 1981.

Paris-Roubaix dreaming....

#13moresleeps

Isn't PR this Sunday? As I was wondering how on earth am I going to manage church, the first round of the UCI DHI World Cup series and the ever beautiful and glorious Hell of the North?

“A Paris–Roubaix without rain is not a true Paris–Roubaix. Throw in a little snow as well, it’s not serious.”

– Sean Kelly, the two-time Irish winner, in 1984 and 1986.
