From what I've picked up they had issues from take off at Brakpan and attempted an emergency landing

You know what aircraft it is? From the pics it looks to be a cessna(152,172,180?) but when I google that reg it says a piper cherokee.

Ja i recognize the colour scheme of the crashed aircraft, they operate from Benoni Brakpan airfield. Offer all sorts of services not just flight training.

Yip, PA32, upside down with the nose crunched under it it does look Cessna'ish.

 

RIP to the pilot and his passengers.

It was a Piper PA32 Cherokee Six (ZS-PME) operated by SkyAfrica

 

Don't want to speculate but based on this info / pic looks like they tried to land in the small open space in Wattville...assuming they were taking off heading north
