Patchelicious Posted February 14, 2016 Share Hi, Anybody know of a nice 3hr 90km-ish loop around Harrismith? Need to kill 3 hours there this Sunday. Long Wheel Base
WR 1.0 Posted February 14, 2016 Share You can probably head out towards Bethlehem, Clarens, Phuthaditjhaba back to Harrismith. Not sure of the distance for that loop but it will take you through Golden Gate. We've done portions of it with the SBIS tour. Will see if I can find the rides and calculate some distance
WR 1.0 Posted February 14, 2016 Share Maybe Harrismith, Kestell, Phuthaditjhaba, Harrismith. That should be close to the 90km (I think)

BeegMig Posted February 15, 2016 Share There was a lot of roadworks. But last time i rode from Bethlehem to Harrismith it was done, and actually quite nice. One patch 17km out of Harrismith near Sterkfonteindam on the way to QwaQwa where there is still some speed bumps, but noting too serious

Anticlimb Posted February 15, 2016 Share QwaQwa Kestell too dangerous . Rather go to Verkykerskop . Tar all the way there and a very quiet road . Used by local farmers . 100km Out and back. Patchelicious and Jakkals.

BeegMig Posted February 16, 2016 Share Yes, but not all the way . Quiet enoughJust the first few km near N3 has a shoulder. Rest is narrow. But road is very quiet. Only farmers use that road. Sunday should be even quieter.
