The belt on my rollers snapped this morning... has anyone been able to repair such a belt successfully? Otherwise if someone can point me to the best (cheapest) place to find a replacement I'd appreciate it.

Thx, BMG actually came up in my search results when I looked for a replacement belt. Sounds like a lekker DIY solution and much cheaper than the replacements sold at the lbs

Tried the o-ring material, but the glue is a problem. If it were just a normal o-ring superglue would have worked, but the tension is too much and it breaks quickly, especially since the belt is constantly turning as well.

Any suggestions for a better adhesive?

Looks like I will have to buy the proper replacement belt.

Just a note for someone who may stumble upon this post like I did and is from Australia, the o-ring cord worked a treat as a replacement for my Sport Crafters bike roller! The trick is to use industrial-strength super glue.

Here's what I ordered from Swift Supplies (AU):

  1. Nitrile Rubber O Ring Cord 5mm - 2m length (SKU: SWM000106B01V0005)
  2. Weicon VA 8406 Industrial Super Glue 12gm (SKU: SWS000001)

All up, under 20 AUD. Also, the o ring cord is stretched when they cut it from a large roll so it may arrive somewhat shorter than what you think you ordered.

Have done over 300 Kms on the trainer so far with no issues.
