My second 100km road race...achieved my goal 3.45 (strava) ...still a lot of work required...official time 3.44.21

I was like one of those comrades runners who blast off at the start then barely make the cutoff [emoji57] ...i gave the ride everything i had...it just wasnt enough...i got dropped every time i managed to hang onto a group.

I hope the cyclist who went down just before the bridge is ok...he was in a lot of pain.

Respect to all the bigger... older and really young cyclist who flew past me...well done.

It did take them about a month to get it updated, was also checking every few days. was all a waste of time for me... no improvement in seeding

on another note, I have just noticed that they have adjusted a few of the Beta's for Shova 2015 / R4S and Emperors. maybe other events also.

How many races have taken place since the Tour Durban? Not many, so why worry about how long it takes to update?

 

On the revised seeding I see the Emperor's Classic shows 15 penalty points... Not sure why, the penalty is supposed to be after 5 months.

True, no need for it to happen quick. 

 

On those changes, why would they go back months later and change the beta ? Not complaining as my index improved by 7 points but just find that strange.

The infamous term called BETA... who knows.

 

I see the PPA seeding is correct, and the source for both (Cycle Events and PPA) is the same... Racetec

Morning all, doing this race for the first time this year.....nice that it falls over a long weekend too  ...... your thoughts on the race guys.... did Amashova last year and enjoyed it... comparisons maybe for those that know??
