Polar hrm files send to Strava etc

Been using this for a while and thought others may find it useful.

 

As you may know, if you use a Polar device - the HRM files are not accepted by all websites where you save your training rides and session.

(i.e. when manually uploading - not direct polar-link etc. connections)

 

However, there is a very good 'conversion' tool that converts hrm files to .tcx files which are more commonly accepted by these web sites.

yes I know about that thanks.

 

I still have the IR link unit, not the later polar flow - and whats more I am on Windows 10 which does not have IR support yet. So I down-load to a very old laptop I revived just for the IR option, then copy the files across to the new windows based laptop system - then convert and do manual up-load to stava. Until Windows 10 has IR support I am stuck.

My Polar was top of the range many years ago, with all features including altitude ascent/decent profile etc (except newer GPS way points), and has been so flawless, long battery life etc etc that I am still sticking with it - hence technical up-load issues.

I know there are other hubbers who also still use the IR system.

And that is one of the issues i have,because wattbike sessions are included in my training sessions,and i use a polar hr belt. The wattbike app sends info to strava,and currently strava links up to vitality. After 2 april,this may be a issue,because i may now lose points because of that. My wattbike sessions are almost always an hour,and includes intervals ect( high heartrate).
