Wheelsuck Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Visiting the brother in law in Dec, so ideal opportunity to race this one. We will be staying in Auckland and travelling there. Anyone did this? any advice will be appreciated.
IceCreamMan Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 I have not done the event but have been to Lake Taupo and its an amazing place so ireckon go for it. I would think the cycle is fairly flat too. Costs must be high considering the exchange rate an all though. MY verdict, do it.

Entries are not open yet, but thought I would do some investigation and see if it is worthwhile.Thanks reteid will give Jan a shout. Not to worried about the race-race is a race just need to know if there are any nasty surprises but sounds okay. Just need to plan logistics and accom.

There are more accomodation spots than you can shake a stick at. Lake taupo is roughly the same size as singapore. So its big. And there are hotels/motels/bnbs everywhere. You could always hire a campervan and just park almost anywhere.
