Wouldn't having the wheels worked on by others affect your warranty?  Just get DH to sort out or replace, or ask for your money back and buy Tokens!

The man is amazing. I miss two things from Johannesburg. A sushi place in Norwood and Summit cycles in midrand. The man is a freaking bike master. And a downright decent human being to boot.

Is this Rainbow sushi you speak of?

Check out some interweb reviews/tutorials on the difference between aero and regular bikes/wheels etc.

There is always going to be more flex in the carbon aero wheels than on a set of Alu trainers.

If it is touching the brake pads you must be seriously stomping though, which in itself is not really good practice.... Just saying.

If you stayed seated and centred you would probably avoid the rubbing, the banana flexing as well as be more efficient......

But enough stirring the pot. I doubt you will find a light set of carbon 38mm that don't flex. I have some 50mm carbon deep sections and they also flex when I hulk smash up small risers and kickers

After what happened to Shan Wilson, I'm never again going to Norwood for a quiet meal .......

I don't know why the flex should be less than all though. Unless you're brining spoke count into the equation, in which case my old shimano rs20 wheels were like disks of cooked pasta when riding along, nevermind under power.

I find the carbon rims to be far stiffer and stronger than alu, in any depth. They come out of the mould true and straight as an arrow, but as The Sheriff once explained, getting the spoke tension right and keeping it right is really difficult. Even referred to a case when Johan bornman ruined some very expensive rims when pulling a nipped though the rim when over tensioning.

At 110 kgs I'm particularly sensitive with wheels, I've paid many school fees in damaged and crap wheelsets. Maybe it's my spoke count now, maybe it's the rims, but the combination is adding up to a great wheelset.

Agree with you about the weight though. Mine are not super lightweight. But they're not heavy either.
