I would like to hook up with other cyclists that ride more for a social than lap times. Either week days or weekends and would suit average rider fitness. I would like to get to know the single track in the area.

One trail head starts right there, go to the Spar in howick and ask for the bike shop, they will help you get in touch. There is a group of riders on a watt sap group, join that and go riding with them. You can ride from howick to karkloof and back on amazing trails 50k of superb riding. Jealous.

NelAndre Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Awesome trails in that area. I just spent easter weekend there and I am seriously missing all the trails. Do not get stuck on Karkloof only, the Howick Mountainbike club (google them) has some awesome trails as well. They have a honesty box for permits and payment at "The Fainting Goat" coffee shop in Howick (Greendale) or you can pay at Steve's Bistro at Karkloof. Enjoy....I cannot wait to go back there and this time I will hook up with Griffin, Chainsaw, Blonde-on-Bike and the other locals. Have fun
