I will remember for next time. Though this time of the year I usually check the weather prediction first before entering a MTB race. There are 4 of us that MTB in the family, and a muddy race will leave me with a rather hefty repair bill.

Also loved the ride - pity that there's no semblance of seeding whatsoever (this also being the main reason I prefer PPA / racetec events over Dirtopia / AMArider events any day).  Saturday evening's wine was still in the system, so grateful for the late'ish start! 

 

Probably the closest possible event to home, so will be back next year!

Agree that the route was more enjoyable compared to the routes that went through the Wannabee farm routes.

 

Would have loved to have done some of the more technical ST around Klapmutskop.

 

However, their route info with regards to the profile was wrong, as well as the amount of ascent indicated. My GPS showed that we climbed about 790m, which is way short of the 1100m indicated on the event info page. But we all know this by now of Dirtopia races. What you get on race day is usually a lucky packet.
