As part if your csa license you get 20k "insurance " free via hollard.

Have any one ever claimed for any incidents ?

Going to be claiming the shortfall from my radial head replacement from them.

I claimed last year twice for shoulder dislocations and this year for my daughters broken wrist.

Works like a charm! Two weeks and the money is in the bank!

Best free insurance you will ever get.

What do they pay? The shortfall from medical aid or on q percentage?

Be interested to see if they will cover a shortfall, most insurance policies only allow one insurer to pay out per incident but seeing medical aid isn't insurance it may be different.

It only covers you for costs the medical aid does not cover. If you claim for costs the medical aid already covered, they can technically recover the costs from you.

If they only cover the shortfall, then what's the point. My medical aid will cover the full amount.

So my license fee was increased because of insurance I'll never use.

Just another form of extortion from the CSA.

They tell you it's free, let's not forget that our licence fees doubled this year with the only benefit increase being this insurance.

You're one of the lucky ones. My mate fell at the Berg & Bush and was out of pocket for some medical expenses. This covered him and he got the money back. Like any other insurance policy, you hope you never have to use it, but when you need it, it's nice to have it.
