I am literally on the edge of my seat! 1.5 km to go.

Sorry I can't update properly for those not able to watch.

Yah, I have followed Cunego since he came out of nowhere and won the Giro in 2004 and always liked his attitude and general demenour, he has some real talent but unfortunately he lost his way a bit at Lampre I think, the team changed and there were just too many big ego's and not enough soldiers to execute the ground work,... but it seems he has got his Mojo back at Vinni-Fantini and he is doing well again, I would be happy for him to walk off with the Mountains jersey.

Although to be fair, I do understand he is attending University and has been for a while, which is good for him, at least he is looking past his cycling career to something productive than flipping burger at the local McDonald's in the future.

You should really listen to the cycling podcast they speak to his coach and the speak about why he never won more etc...

Did they admit it's because the riders are riding clean now

????

I'd love to know really why he does not perform to the same standards as 10 + yrs ago, I'm on roaming so don't want to use up data listening... Pse give us a heads up

Jay Mcarthy or Moser will be my top picks for top spot

Maybe Oss but he will most likely be cooked after yesterday's break efforts

To be beaten by a genius power ride from Trentin

What a ride by the big powerhouse

Two consecutive sensational stage wins

He really never lived up to what he could've achieved lbesides the 1 Giro win with GT)...and his coach puts it down to he could do either grand tours or 1 day races.. but Cunego himself could never really decide on which way to go, so his coach basically said it was because he never committed one way or the other.

That's basically it in a nut shell

They also touch on the doping saga.. and mentioned a rider that did dope that was convinced that Cunego was riding clean and because Cunego was not a doping programme that he could never achieve what the others did.

If you do manage to get to a place with free WiFi I really recommend downloading the episode to listen to later.
