Does anyone use Fabric saddles for very long rides?

I'm looking at the scoop curve or scoop flat.

I have the scoop shallow. Longest ride I have done on it is 150km with no problem. The guy at cycle lab that sold me the saddle did say that for the dash the flat or shallow will be the best.

I took a chance with the scoop because the saddle that was on the bike gave me a sore ass after 50km. Lucky for me it paid off. I think if your happy with your current saddle don't change it.

I'm also thinking about getting a Scoop, but can't decide between the flat or shallow.

Philip, any specific reason you went with the shallow?

Nope just trusted the guy in cycle lab. But I have a saddle on my "oefen fiets" that is the same basic shape just searched for something that would be sort of the same as the saddle on die oefen fiets.

Also try a Phenom saddle from Spez - it is, however, important to get the correct width.

If you go to the Spez store in windhoek, they should be able to do a body geometry test on your cheeks to confirm.

I actually have a Spez Chicane at the moment, which I understand is fairly similar

I've used various spez saddles - road and mtb - and the Phenom remains the best I've ever ridden/sat on by a long shot.

It is worth a try, even if you're on a Spez saddle currently.  I rode both a Henge and a Romin for extended periods, but the Phenom was simply in a different league of comfort.

BTW, I've not tried the new "Power" saddles yet.
