So, 2 weeks to go! Not much to be done regarding fitness in these last 2 weeks...

I probably need to start putting things together and get the lists sorted and get the bike washed and lubed and and and...

Starting to get a bit nervous!

Ag, everyone will be fine. Just go and enjoy it. If it helps, the wind has picked up massively this week  :whistling:

I've been struggling to find the motivation to get on my bike the last 3 weeks and only did 3 long rides and no short ones, hoping if I do a few short rides in the next 2 weeks I'll be okay

This thing must come now! Just don't feel like training any more

Just don't feel like training any more

That's the thing - I keep wondering if I've done enough and I'm very tempted to push hard in these last few days, but that might be a mistake. I'll just stick to my schedule and hope it's enough.

Probably just nerves...

Absolutely

There's a fantastic ride in Moonvalley (part of stage 6, but on single track) on the 17th December and I don't even feel like doing this. Will take up jogging for a month or 2 after the dash, but I am keen to train for a 2 man or solo next year

Speaking of, what kind of distances does one need to do weekly (comfortably) in order to manage a solo dash?

So much of the dash is mental. After 12 Apostles, it's pretty much down hill, so just keep your head. You can't get fitter in the next 2 weeks, so just keep doing your shorter rides as planned

Hahahahaha, so much of lies!!! Remember, I've completed it 3 times already, I KNOW stage 3 isn't downhilll...  :D  :D

Same here.. I missed a couple of planned long rides due to rain, but have done way more than last year... My peak weeks were 23-25hrs, but that feels like ages ago.
