What is the difference between a GXP bb and the bb30?

Recently bought a Sram X1 1000 GXP crank. I have a frame that takes a press fit bb. Is there a difference between GXP and BB30? I'm having trouble finding the right bb for my crank. Can someone please advise me on this?

GXP crank needs a frame with a threaded bottom bracket shell.

PF30 has a 43mm diameter smooth BB shell.

BB30 uses a 46mm smooth BB shell.

Luckily everybody and their uncle are making "adaptor bbs" - try the Wheels Manufacturing BB - it fits into your PF30 frame then you bang your GXP crank straight in.

Job done.

Almost correct, the True BB30 has a 68x43mm shell and PF has 68x46mm. Sometimes on mtb they ate 70 mm wide. GXP is a SRAM bb standard, not exactly the same as shimano hollotech2. Both GXP and HT2 also come in a PF or direct press version, this normally have a 41mm diameter, but a width of 89 or 90 mm (I think its that).

The OP should be able to fit the GXP or HT2 into almost any frame, when using the correct adapter or bb.
