Bike Sales SA

Does anyone have any idea regarding the number of new bikes that are sold in SA per month / per annum ? Perhaps split between Road / MTB. I would probably exclude the sub R2-3k bikes. Thanks.

Doubt anyone can give you a number, that would involve all the importers and distributors telling the truth.... At the same time.....

I read somewhere in the region of 36000 or 360000 (i cant remember which one, but the latter seems a bit much) bikes per year across all spectrums....i was doing research on it, i will look for the file, i think i saved it somewhere.

This could well be true if you look at the location of the bulk of 2nd hand sales in the classifieds on this forum.
