Also recommend Halo. The rubber strip on the inside diverts sweat to the sides and hence keeps glasses sweat free.

 

Normal buffs only work till they saturated.

I do however find the buff a tad more comfortable and versatile.

This is what I've used so far

 

Buff: Nice high UV protection but a bit warm (even for a summer buff), I use this in winter.

First Ascent: High UV protection, get sweat drenched quickly but OK in price. I personally prefer these, I will not cry myself to sleep if I loose one.

Multi scarfs (local supplier): Small if your head is bigger that 54 cm, no UV protection. OK if you've got hair, otherwise, keep away.

Coolbit: Crap

Personally I really like using the Buff Helmet Liner, it doesn't feel bulky under your helmet (just over half the size of a normal Buff), due to the material it never gets saturated in sweat. 

 

Locally they are around R260 each (cheaper than Europe), Tour de France designs are also available locally.
