No, is that like Marmite?

Yes.  Don't let the Aussies tell you otherwise.

you're right, linnega. only it's worse! one bite out of a sandwich and I guarantee you'll send it back!  only if you've been force fed it as a child can you appreciate it now!LOL

PB, go easy on the tim-tams, they are lethal. ps. will keep you informed on the accident yesterday...

It is the same around the world.  No one in their right mind would choose bitter tasting spreads like Marmite, Bovril or Vegemite.  But anyone that has got used to the taste as a kid will swear that their choice is unique and tastes better than the others.

That "accident" seemed like no accident?! Had four or five of those incidents personally during commutes.  The only time I actually made contact with the car, I stayed upright and the guys mirror cracked.  I didn't hear if the cyclists got the plate numbers of the grey sedan.  Surely there are enough witnesses to press charges of reckless driving and assault with a deadly weapon?

yes, they did get the license plate and car description. the driver has been interviewed and will face charges, no doubt. The b%$#ard swerved into the large bunch a couple of times, changed lanes in front of them and then hit the brakes, sending them in all directions.

Hi Hubbers

I am still new to the cycling family.

I have moved to NZ about a month ago.

And all have to say about the new country is good things.

I got a very good job within 3 weeks of arriving here and I am very happy with my quality of life that I have now.

We had a lot of nervous moments about coming here, but now we are so happy and relieved with the decision that we made.

I worked for Eskom and I am not for a moment sorry that I left.

Casci, I am in Auckland at the moment but will be going to Whangarei soon.

Let me know where you are and maybe we can get together for a coffee.

I had a blast in CP back in 93 while making my way to Uluru and Alice Springs! A touch rough around the edges maybe but genuine folk!

Artanoon Del

I'm sure Uluru was the sexy one on Star Trek but I can't place Alice (or anyone living next door to her).  Maybe you mean Alice in Springs?

Rough around the edges? Hmmm maybe.
Go forth and multiply!!!!

reuters reports that george takei, who played mr sulu plans to wed his longtime partner now that the california has overturned a ban on gay marriage - he and Brad Altman are going through the ''delicious process'' of planning their nuptials?

Have you ever been out of Boksburg. With an attitude like that one wonders? Or is it perhaps that they cannot get a steel aircraft off the ground yet.

As for the carbon fibre jibe, I hope that you never lose a leg or else you will be forced to cycle in circles with your steel prosthesis.

When I said "Wasn't Uluru the sexy one in Star Trek" it was a pun on the name Uhura not Mr Sulu and certainly not Spock.  I may have been confused as a kid but men in uniforms weren't doing anything for me.
