Quintana is such a limpet that he must go to sleep seeing Froomes ass in his dreams.

Bet he knows every curve of it by now.

Don't see why he needed to ride aggressively today..

He built up a 3min + lead.. before the ITT.. you don't exactly get that by sitting on wheels.

People applauded Froome during the TDF for getting time whichever way he could.. Nairo did the same during the Vuelta.. so statements like these make no sense.

It was up to Froome to close the gap... he closed half yesterday and today he had to make the move.. Nairo just had to follow..

At the end of a GT these riders don't have much left in them...

I think tomorrow the Vuelta broadcast clashes with GP Quebec - Montreal. .. I will have to multitask.. Vuelta on the TV and Montreal streaming.. shew ..spoilt for choice..

And I still haven't watched a single TOB stage [emoji53]

Stunning by Orica.. perfect tactics again.. Chavez up the road and Yates sacrificing his GC position tiring Bert and Trofimov with attacks after attacks.

Also Valverde.. what a captain.. kept everything under control for Nairo.. from carrying bottles to sacrificing his green jersey..

You have to admire Elissonde he fought so hard to try and keep his jersey.. well done to Fraile..takes it withone point wow..

Hard fought battle but as we saw at the with TDF the best man won.

This froome makes it difficult for me. We have a love-hate relationship, albeit all from my side.

He's obviously super strong and has some African roots, but not much of a character? And yes, I know, this is not WWE!

As a wise man once said, second is the first loser, but nonetheless Froomey and Sky have been a real let down for the fans. Skipping after stage interviews again today at the finish. Very secretive. Isolated. A tad bad sportmanship? Or just really disappointed?

Like I said, love-hate. But kudos to him and Quintana, Chaves, Contador and everyone for a hard and great Vuelta [emoji106]

It was an epic contest(am I allowed to say Epic). All the riders deserve respect for the spectacle they provided. Sure there were days we wanted our favorites to go harder but without tons of drugs riders can't go full gas every day. It was an amazing race.

It is a display of arrogance to not attend media interviews

Barring medical injuries or something unusual

Indeed it is.. they also do it at the TDF.. only the ones they are obligated to do..

Cycling is very much a sport that has a close relationship with fans and press. SKY aren't doing themselves any favours.. and come across like you say, arrogant..

That why they aren't loved by non English speaking countries.

There was another team that pulled stunts like that..[emoji6]

Whoever runs their PR is doing more harm than good. They are definitely not bigger than the sport.

It was Rock an Roll racing! :whistling:

A hugely entertaining edit of the Vuelta and we got spoilt with all the action! Some great tactics, wonderful breakaways and solo efforts. The teams that stood out most: OBE and Sky. OBE for their clever tactics and Sky for that one bad day where they failed to support their man Froome. Riders who stood out GC wise: the OBE duo of Chaves and Yates, Talansky and Formolo of CD. OBE boys because of their obvious talent and the CD guys because of their quiet but hard effort to get their top ten results.

Monotron might not be the most popular rider but as Froome said the strongest rider (and most deserving) won. Niaro rode a clever race!
