Clicking noise when I pedal....

I have the same problem - will try your fix. At a point where it may drive me mad. 

 

I have also seen cases where the cable end just touches rear tyre - especially on a dual sus and only makes a noise when the bike goes through it's travel.

I'm no expert. It probably has nothuhg to do with the pedals. Have your knees checked out

Only bad when you pedal. You should DH more

This was my problem also, lived with the noise for a few months until i eventually figured out it was the front derailleur cable which was knocking on the pedal on each pedal stroke. Snipped it shorter and the problem is gone.

I just bend mine while i was on the ride and it was fixed.
