Hi guys,

I am struggling to get my tyres seated properly on these wheels, the bead is is not constant right around and causes an irriatiting bumpy ride. I have deflate, and inflated a few times, and its especialy worse when fitting my 25c tyres which is either a set of gatorskin wire bead or ultra race foldable

Are you running those tyres with tubes? afaik the victory 30 were tubeless compatible rims.

Have you checked for defects on the inside of the rim where the bead would lock in?

I had that when seating my One Pro Tubless on them. Luckily I'd got a LBS to sort it in the first place so I just took them back and asked them to fix it. they just took them off and re-seated from scratch and they were fine. Work like a charm, roll brilliantly.

Hi RB,

You are not alone. I battled for ages to try and seat a new set of tyres on my rims as well. My tyres were the wired type. I eventually took them to my LBS who also battled but came right. I am running tubes with mine.

I am hoping that a foldable tyre will be easier.

One consolation is that once the tyres have been used , to change a tube is not too dificult.

When you fit them spray a strong Sunlight dishwasher/water mix onto the outside of the bead - it helps it "slip" into the rim hook.

Sometimes the outside bead is quite sticky and the more you pump it the more it sticks to the wrong place!

The problem with them if you struggle to get it to seat properly is once they kick on to the rim to seat they are very hard to remove change from a wire beat to a foldable should solved the problem if you run tubes

Hi Kenj,

I flatted with mine and it was a bitch to get the tyre off the rim to fit another tube. But it popped easily back again.

Late feedback, the 9 bar method helped on the one wheel and not the other. The best is to wet the bead then it pops into place at around 5 bar already.

Thanks for the advise guys.

Dread ever getting a puncture away from home with these wheels. Im using 23c Vittoria Zafiro Pro's at the moment, my thumbs hurt getting them onto the wheel

I recently bought a pair of these Wheels. No issues at all. As per the instructions , don't use tire levers to fit the tire , brush the beads and rims with plenty soapy water (sunlight works like a charm) then inflate. tire should pop into place no problem.
