Rear derailleur hanger

Hi Guys

While going on a ride yesterday my missus changed gears and the rear derailleur hanger managed to shear off under the tension.

Thank goodness she was going up and hill and not down.

I am currently trying to source a new one and have requested my local shop to see if they can find one as they currently do not stock it.

Just wanted to put some feelers put there if anyone knows of anyone who stocks these bad guys in the cape

That sucks! I found one by finding a bike shop that stocked my bike. It usually entails someone going through a large box of them, to find the right one. Ask very nicely.

What bike is it for?

Best is to start at a shop that sells your brand of bike.  If they don't have you can get one ordered from the supplier or a Wheels Manufacturing one via Rushsports.  The ones from the bike's agent normally work out cheaper.

Same boat.

Except mine looks a little more stupid.

Mongoose thunderball.

Sliding dropouts.

I have a wizard sourcing one though.

He just needs to cast a few spells.

Came off a Merida Race Lite 903

They have called the supplier to see if they can get something.

They whipped out their big box of hangers but to no avail.

Hoping to not have to resort to black magic

Just get your bike shop to order one from Cytek.

I think they have a branch in somerset west so if they have stock there's no reason you shouldn't get one within a few days.
