How is it that the stem weighs nothing then' date=' and you still get the figures to balance? I will beleive that when I see it. Send a pic to prove it. Also attach a recent calibration certificate for the scales used.

Or you know what ? - Forget it. As long as you are happy with it and you can sleep at night, its fine with me.

Okay...

(above you will see, I said I put down the spec weights for some of the items. And if you added it up it wouln't have been correct - I have now put down the measured values - I will put the spec weights in brackets asap)

I added all the weights you listed (Exl the stem) and the total came to 7.16kg. Even though the listing excluded a stem, you claimed that your bike, weighed at TWO bike shops, weighed 7.16kg. Now explain that....

How is this possible? Did you actually weigh the parts or did you get it from weightweenies? Or did you weigh the bike and make up the weight of the parts?

And heres your chance to come clean - Did you actually weigh this bike at TWO bike shops?

Jeepers Dude! Relax...

I thought it would make for interesting reading...

I for one am intersted in the difference between spec and measured. Like the saddle was spec'd at 120g, but measured 138g.

Or the wheelset, most manufacturers use the weight excluding skewers, whereas A.C. have included the skewers.

Was doing people a favour by putting the weighs down, if they were intersted in buying the components...

If it bothers you that much, I'll delete this post, but I think some people actually find it interesting.

Flippin nice bike...I just got my Felt F85(not in your league)....but still a damn nice bike.  Will post my own pics later today.

Thanks man!

Dont worry about your bike too much, I had a Raleigh RC3000 before this- which I did quite well on, before upgrading to this. Look forward to your pics. Not too much info on Felts around. Be keen to see who all is riding them and what they think. I think Felt Bikes are starting to generate a bit of interest now...

here's my pics.

I think Felt will start picking up, real good value for money if you ask me.  But as I am quite new to cycling, I probably would have been this excited about ANY bike.  There is just nothing else in this price range with these componets.  And I got real good service from Bester Cycles in Waterkloof as well, compared to the place where I put my name on a list for a merida 903.  They would have phoned me on 28 April to tell me that my new bike is there, I still haven't heard from them.  Real bad guys, real bad. Angry
