What bike rack to get

"bit tricky" = missing paint and Garmin attachments on various bikes.

It is definitely not something you do in a hurry... and pool noodles and tie downs to hold bars etc also get use - same on my old 3 bike Thule - so I don't think it's rack specific - there is just not enough space between the bikes on a 4 bike rack to make it easy - unless you are prepared to turn mtb bars 90 degrees on the stem - then it is pretty easy - but that's not for me.

I am looking for a 2 bike carrier - and came across this thread. Has anyone bought or used a Holdfast Platform 2 or 3 bike carrier? They advertise in the classifieds on the Hubsa and seem reasonably priced.

I bought the 4-bike Buzz Rack as it was half the price of the Thule. 

 

Haven't noticed any issues as yet. I might if I had a Thule and then went over to the Buzz Rack but for more than R6000 I didn't think it was worth it. Sure it may be a mission to line them up but I would think it would be the same for all platforms. Once you get the "hang" of it , it really doesn't take too long to mount everything up!

 

I used to have the 2 bike hanger type and hated every minute of mounting the bikes. Car has a few scratches to show for it too :/
