Scot scale elite 29er 2010

Hey guys i was wondering what would be a good price to pay for a secondhand scot scale elite 29er 2010 model. I know the owner and he bought the bike new, he really doesn't ride hard. He rides often but mostly oped gravel jeap track. Bike is not serviced regularly. Thanks

Seeing as how they were between R12500 - R15000 in 2010 I'd ballpark a figure of like R 4000...maybe. But I'm no expert

It really depends on the condition/if any upgrades have been done. If it's really well used and not regularly serviced like you say, then I would not pay more than R6k.

A quick google search tells me it might be a 2011 model, but maybe bought right  at the end of 2010? Not a fan of those Elixir 3 brakes.

I was also under the impression that between 4000 and 6000 would be a good price. No upgrades has been done. Could possibly be 2011 late 2010. Price was 16000 new.

Would you recommend a trade in or selling out of hand? Would think that personal sell would make more sense
