Ideal weight balance front to back for an Enduro bike?

If you take say the crank as the center(of gravity? otherwise seems to be the natural point to work from in this regard) of the bike ideally how should the bike be weighted forward/backwards from that point 60/40 etc?

Obviously the bikes dynamic changes once weighted by the rider in conjunction with the cockpit setup/head angle etc but I'm interested in the ideal bike weighting for an enduro type bike as it stands.

Great article. Remember that our more normal bikes often have to pedal uphill and we spend much more time seated than a World Cup downhiller.

I reckon when seated in pedalling position as much as 70% of my weight is on the rear wheel and that's normal.

Its very easy to vary the balance. Drop your bar on the stem a tad - even 5mm makes a huge difference. If I ride my bar at maximum height I feel as if I need to use my dual position fork far more. 5mm changes that completely.

I hardly used to use my seat post at in between positions but have just started experimenting. its trail dependent so, on a mild gradient down,  with lots of rocks and the odd tricky corner, I drop my saddle to the mid point. I can still pedal reasonably well but the front is much lighter as my weight is not being pushed over the bars as it is when the seat is up.

How easy should it be to lift the front wheel, wheelie/manual on an enduro bike?

Again, isnt that a function of bike set up and frame dimensions. You can make an XC bike easy to manual by dropping the seat and raising the bars. My long front but short chain stay bike isnt as easy to manual as the short back end implies because its longer up front. I like the stability of the longer bike and the general riding position and as Myles says manualing is a skill you can learn on any bike.
