Velouria Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 what is worse, these racing lighties who don't carry spares, or the racing lighties who late enter races, start near the back and then cause chaos pushing through the field?? What about the youngsters (and sometimes not so young individuals) who late enter, push to the front for the start, and then pop 15kms into the race? At least their shoes matched their socks, that matched their gloves, that matched their helmets, that matched their grips, that matched their bottle cages.

You are so wrong a tube can be stretched its actually easier to fit a 26 in a 27.5 or 29 then the other way round.
V12man Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Moridin , you are 100% correct .I by no means want to paint all the youngsters as being the same .Sure there was some generalisation on my behalf .I am sure that the majority of youngsters are self sufficient on a race . As I said , more of a grumble than a rant .Maybe you.can use strava flyby to find the lad - easy to see when you stopped who was with you and overtook you later... be a detective and call him out...
Jewbacca Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 My favourite is when you are stranded on a race, have used up all your spares (because we all know that one mechanical leads to ALL the mechanicals) and the guys ride past and shout 'Everything ok?' to which you say 'no, I'm a little stuck' but they ride off anyway... hahahahahaha
