Cav' Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Don't stress dude, a bit of fan banter is always fun. (Not that I have picked Sky as my team for the TDF yet)The Dauphine starts 4 June, Froome vs: ContadorValverdeBardetMeintjiesPorteChavezMartinAru It will be a good indication of what's to come in the Tour imho.
Patchelicious Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 This guy is starting to become one of my favorites. Reminds me of Dan Craven
Wannabe Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Maincheese has been quiet so far this year, but I know he has been training like crazy. The Dauphine will be a good indicator of his form.

Cav' Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 During the 3rd week of the Tour all the riders who competed in the Giro will have no more legs left. THAT'S A FACT.
Wannabe Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Form is one thing, and as much as I want the dude to do well, I think he suffers from Naairolytis. Maybe, just maybe, he got that monkey of his back.
dev null Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Contador...pffft! I have been cycling since 2010, and I have yet to witness the so-called brilliance of Contador. Maincheese...I will be rooting for him, but I am afraid that once again the winds of the French coastal areas is gonna catch him out, as it always do. And his team does not really back him.
'Dale Posted May 29, 2017 Author Posted May 29, 2017 It will be interresting to see how Quintana will perform in the TDF since this was "almost" a winning performance and I wonder if he will have the form come the TDF. It's a relatively flat TdF, I think.Have no idea about the TT mileage though. It will be a big factor. The Giro was 70 kms of TT. Definitely not in Quintana's favour. He was hoping for a time buffer against the bigger okes. Fell just short.
'Dale Posted May 29, 2017 Author Posted May 29, 2017 And all of them will be going up Alp D'Huez for a summit finish on stage 7. Really.Wow!
'Dale Posted May 29, 2017 Author Posted May 29, 2017 Suffering badly today with PGWS - Post Giro Withdrawal Syndrome... I went for a 4 hr ride with lots of climbing. It took the edge of PGWS. Just a tad though.
Cav' Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Contador...pffft! I have been cycling since 2010, and I have yet to witness the so-called brilliance of Contador. Ummm he's won the Vuelta 3 times, Giro 2 Times, TDF 2 times
Cav' Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Great pic. That trophy. So beautiful. I think it weighs more than a mountain bike.

There are 5 Mountain stages. One before the first rest day, two in the middle and two in the last week.
