Gen Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Ewan with some bad luck there too.Almost looked like he uncleated Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Cav' Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Almost looked like he uncleated Sent from my SM-N9005 using TapatalkI blame his unorthodox sprinting style.
Gen Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Another great result by Gibbons. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Gen Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Maybe next time Ewan won't look around like that. He seemed to be very concerned about Gaviria's position. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Oxter Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Aaah awesome stuff Greipel.. what a sprint.. Damn so much power. Also in a side note.. what a chase back from Katusha to get Zakarin back. Sent from my SM-N9005 using TapatalkHe still lost 20sec in the last 3km apparently
Gen Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 He still lost 20sec in the last 3km apparentlyEither pro cycling stats or the Giro 's website is then wrong. According to the website he got the same time as Greipel. Or I checked the site before final results were up... which is very possible. That's hen a pity.. but it could've been a lot worse for him. Rocket-Boy Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 So happy the big smiling German got it, when the big man winds up then he is hard to beat.
'Dale Posted May 6, 2017 Author Posted May 6, 2017 "This is a really good one of course. It wasn’t an easy day of course. It was six hours on the bike and the headwind played into our hands that a bunch sprint would happen. That happened on the last climb, otherwise there would have been some attacks. I’m really proud of my teammates who supported me today in this stage win. This win and the pink jersey is for them and also for my mother." Greipel
'Dale Posted May 6, 2017 Author Posted May 6, 2017 And the GC picture after today: 1 André Greipel (Ger) Lotto Soudal 11:18:39 2 Lukas Pöstlberger (Aut) Bora-Hansgrohe 0:00:04 3 Caleb Ewan (Aus) Orica-Scott 0:00:08 4 Roberto Ferrari (Ita) Team UAE Emirates 5 Jasper Stuyven (Bel) Trek-Segafredo 0:00:10 6 Pavel Brutt (Rus) Gazprom – Rusvelo 0:00:12 7 Kristian Sbaragli (Ita) Dimension Data 0:00:14 8 Ryan Gibbons (RSA) Dimension Data 9 Fernando Gaviria (Col) Quick-Step Floors 10 Enrico Battaglin (Ita) Team LottoNl-Jumbo
'Dale Posted May 6, 2017 Author Posted May 6, 2017 ⚠️⚠️⚠️ It was a foot, and not a pedal in the end for Ewan. He pulled his foot out after rubbing shoulders with Gaviria. He's still looking for his maiden stage win in the Giro d'Italia.
GrumpyOldGuy Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Bora gave the Blue Jersey away today by not chasing the break and giving Benedetti a chance to get the points, he could easily have kept it till Tuesday, it was unlikely Postlberger would have kept Pink in a bunch sprint, but they could have kept Blue. Anyway, not the most riveting stage I have seen, but nice Greipel gets to wear pink for a few days.

Sent from my SM-N9005 using TapatalkI dont think it will worry him yet, its 34 odd seconds to Greipel, but its only 24 secs to the guys that matter,.. Nibali, Quintana,Thomas and so on. If nothing else it has shown how strong Katusha are as a team.
Gen Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 We may see a fast and furious start to today Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
