My new bike

Hi Cassie1975

Thank you so much for your advice-

I'll take your and "Theunissa" advice and head to my local bike shop for a fitting.

I've gone on a few 100Km road rides and I do start getting a sore lower back- assume its from stretching for my bars.

Hope the bike shop tells me I'm being a softie and that a 54" is actually the right size for me. Not really in the position to replace my road bike and buy a new MTB,

Giving up cycling is not an option. :excl:

Thanks again guys

Not sure if you've moved your saddle forward and shorten your stem to get your "reach" more into place, but then you might get issues with your knees not being correctly over your pedals...but shortening the stem only could keep your knees in the correct place.

Sometimes it can be a bit of a science, especially if you don't start off with the correct frame size. Not an expert myself, but have had to do a few tweaks here and there to sort out when I had the same issue on bike sizes that were not perfect for me.

I hope you get this sorted, if not 100% then maybe firstly work on the bike that you would use the most on a weekly / monthly basis, get than one sorted and perfect for you and then sort out the other bike once you can.

Got myself some cycling shoes. Non cleat. Advised by man who did setup. Trying to do posture, pedaling and cadence right from the start. I also went for my first long ride on saturday 52 min 16km. Took it slow tried to keep between 60-70 rpm constant. Al was well until i got home. When i got of the bike i noticed that i lost my legs along the way. Because they weren't there to hold me. Luckily i found them again.

Im not sorry i chaged my back wheel to tubeless. I had two big thorns in it today about 3mm thick. Pulled them out and the holes were sealed in about 30sec

Los die dorings in. Dit is 'n natuurlike plug. Die doring sal self afloop. Ek het al myne uitgetrek dan lek die band net meer...

Geniet dit.

My mistress is in for new legs - having new wheels built. Have been waiting for more than a week now. The LBS is waiting for a particular thru-axle.

Went for my first trail ride today with my stepdad at wolwespruit. It was fun but tiring. Uphill does work your legs. ec15cc5ed5a66f623d4293b736b0237a.jpg605af431489a4d3bee874aad1ec53270.jpgb23a3c6408ffc55e42bda373d9025c8a.jpg454879063ab3b00ff2cc581d45ea8e59.jpg5d1df4a75574675f28f5a1d1e57a6a61.jpg

I also had my first slope dive. Hit a loose rock and slide of the track. Luckily not serious. As jy nie weet hoe om te val nie weet jy nie hoe om te ry nie
