Suidwes Boytjie Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Shot Ashley... Who's the other winner?
TheCyclistCo. Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Our Final winner is: Samantha Stander As I was scrolling through BikeHub on one of my procrastination attempts I came across and article featuring @thecyclist.co and celebrating cycling. I decided that it may be time to share a little of my story. Today 7 months ago I climbed on an MTB for the very first time, little did I know that cycling would end up being such an addiction (in medicine we get taught about all the addictive drugs, but somehow they failed to mention this one !) Cycling to most is a breakaway from reality, but to me it is a breakaway from the pain caused by my hip dysplasia. It is the freedom to explore, to discover and to enjoy. An adventure of sorts I would say. I have cracked ribs, bruised and scraped legs and arms, tipped over from not uncleating in time, learnt about camaraderie, walked around proudly with my awkward glove tan and learnt to love the burn from climbing hills and mountains (okay I lie, I'm still learning to love it ) And as I finish typing this I'm getting ready to enjoy another ride! Nick 1
TheCyclistCo. Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Thank you to everyone that entered. We received some inspiring stories and amazing pictures that we will share on our social media channels over time. Please do keep 'em coming. Winners, your prizes are on their way : ) Keep peddling!
