Help on buying MTB Bike

I need advice on buying MTB bike with budget of +-R30k.

 

Option 1 - Momsen VIPA AC 2015 with Shimano XT groupset R27300

 

Option 2 - Scott Spark 900 Premium 2014 with XTR Groupset (Used) R36000

 

 

 

Option 3 -  Giant Anthem X 1 2016  - Front Derailleur: Shimano Deore

Option 1: Meh

Option 2 is expensive and is going to cost you more money to replace the fancy worn parts. Also, it's the old Spark: Meh.

Option 3 for sure. Well that's what I ride at least. You didn't state the price though? Should be low thirties.

Maybe look at the Titan sonic pro. Very well speced for the price point. SLX shifters and breaks, XT crank and rear derailleur. Stand ZTR rapid rims with tubeless tires as standard. Rockshox recon silver air fork. About 28k

Definitely option 3.

 

I like Scott, but I'd take a new over used bike any day. And the Scott has some very expensive parts when it comes to maintenance. The Momsen won't dissapoint - just doesn't float my boat.

If you ride a medium size bike, have a look at cwc website, they have a Anthem X1 on sale for R30k. I would also take a look at the Silverback Sido 1, It is R31k at bike addict.

+1 one the Giant! The Silwerback is also a better deal than 1 and 2

Silverback almost looks like a no brainer, only part that lets it down is the Deore brakes, otherwise clear winner very good value for money. You will struggle to find a better specked bike at that price point. Assuming the 31k is correct.
