Shebeen Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 spare a thought for previous world champs thule adevnture from sweden, they started this big trek leg in 2nd, and took a wrong turn and ended up about 1km off the path trying to get up a cliff...cost them 6 hours in all (took seagate about 12 hours for this leg in total) - they're down to 18th now

That is bound to take a physical and mental toll in something that tough.
dave303e Posted November 14, 2016 Author Posted November 14, 2016 So Merrel had the massive issue of a broken deraillure, that is why they lost so much time, towing a team mate on a bike converted to single speed. They haven't given up and are still going to reach that finish line.
