I bought a 2nd hand bike a week ago, found out today I have to buy 2 sealkits fir callipers. Is this a good brake system, I hear lots.of people have problems with theirs. Can I maybe contact sram about this even though its 2nd hand.

Have never had problems with mine and they work great.

Who told you that you need to replace the caliper seals - can you see the fluid leaking?

the back brake caliper only.pushes out 1 piston, the other one is stuck & does not move. When I pulled the brake lever with pads removed the 1 piston came out slowly with liquid also coming out of that hole.

Before you buy new seals clean the piston and the seal on both sides and re-fit (don't buy new) and bleed brakes. Before you put the seals in just wipe them with fluid they should still be okay. Make sure to use the correct fluid. The proper bleed kit makes a HUGE difference but you can jimmy one. Google is your friend. NB clean the fluid off any paint work.

For the cost of 2 lever seal kits, caliper seal kits and 2 lever kits (if the pivots and links are worn) it may cost only a little more to buy a complete new brakeset. Check prices carefully.
