Depends- you can't fix drips - so has to be done right...

 

1 mistake and you have to repeat after fixing up the problem.... but patience gets you there in the end - but it's much harder than a finish you can Polish/sand out an imperfection

 

I haven't done Matt blue but Matt black frames I have done a couple for myself

And they have come out nicely so with care and attention it can be done..

There is little to lose if you try and fail - it can always be stripped again or go to Bogus...
