Trails near Hazyveiw

Will be going up to Kruger Park next week and will be staying at Sanbonani, are there any decent trails up there? Don't want to travel to far from base due to the kids, but would love to keep the wheels turning. Thanks

You can also ride to Phabeni gate and then along the KNP fence next to the railway line down to Numbi gate. That's fun and you can ride from your door.

Just be careful on that road to Phabeni gate...rode there in August and there was some "interesting" driving going on!

If you want to do a climb, ride to kipersol from the sabie road just outside hazyview. Its 700m over 8.5km of dirt road. You can get a cooldrink and slap chips at the top.

 

Coming back down needs more than brakes and balls!

Every time I do that route I say not again....but damn, its good fun coming back down to the Sabie road!

 

Its not so much fun going up, particularly in Dec or Jan...the heat and humidity can get brutal !!
