  1. @Frosty, thank you for this. Where does the below values (Sodium Concentration information) come from / how are the derived?
  2. Maybe that is the combined number of the long and short events?
  3. Licenced riders have two numbers to be pinned on the back of the jersey.
  4. Lining up with you @Frosty, but not as accomplished as you.
  5. For the licenced riders, do we ride with both thewhite FT board and the Yellow Race No board, or only the Yellow Race No board? The information I am getting from people are contradictory. I have also asked the question on the event WA no.
  6. At least no Dude running around trying to hand out Beetroot Juice ...
  7. No signage ... From N1 South left on Nasrec Rd (You should see a big Adendorfs building on your right after you turned) About 800m down the road is a 4 way stop, turn left Continue straight and you'll see FNB stadium on your right, with cars parked...
  8. Just back from there. I took the Nasrec road of the N1. Expo is about the same as last yr. Not much ...
  9. 2:55 - 3:05 ... (Provided there's no mechanicals etc)
  10. If someone want to get rid of their 947 entry, or know of someone that want to get rid of their entry, my coach has decided he wants to do 947 as a training ride for himself. 😂 Please send me a PM so that I can then put the ppl in touch with each other.
  11. Let's hope FT does not mess it up like they did with the last 947 ... If I recall correctly they used the scanners intended for running races, and those scanners could apparently not cope with the speed and/or amount of scans it had to do in a set time ...
  12. 100% However sometimes the "gaps" in the w/kg partners are to big. Some days there's a bunch at around 1.8 with the next level being at 2.8... No groups inbetween.
  13. Same as Frosty. For my Z2 rides, I select an Pace Partner that is riding at a pace that is suitable. However, there are times when they are either to "slow" or to fast for Z2 ...
  14. There are a couple of bicycle tour operators in Lesotho. Consider contacting them regarding safety, suggested routes etc. I believe the people at Afriski is also helpfull. I have read, and heard firsthand from people that hiked and camped in Lesotho about being attacked at night. If you do plan to do the self supported camping thing, a good suggestion is to have a chat with the local village chiefs of the area where you plan to camp and to get their "blessing" to pitch your tent.
  15. What Rudolph said ... The only "mass event" where TT bike / frame is of benefit WITH drafting in Zwift, is in the WTRL TTT races, to my knowledge no drafting effect for all other rides in Zwift with the TT frame.
  16. I read in an article somewhere (last month or so), that intake of protein prior to exercise / racing is not recommended as the ammonia levels in the blood will increase as a result, leading to decreased muscle function; making the legs feel heavy etc. Best to take it afterwards. I stand to be corrected on what my memory is sharing with me 🤪
  17. I suspect it has to do with the additional expenditure to fix the potholes and the subsequent available funds for prize money ...
  18. I suggest that you email the organizer direct with your query. rob@leveragecorporation.co.za
  19. Useful tip for a next time... First stick a strip of that clear packaging tape on the frame, then stick the elevation sticker or whatever else on top of the clear tape. When it's time to remove, just peel of the clear tape, it leaves virtually no sticky residue.
  20. I first need to find my result ... Then I'll worry about photos ... Numerous queries sent via different platforms, including the results query page , no response ... And yes, timing board was fitted, and "worked" at Registration.
  21. If I can believe my "source", the Racetec system is being regarded as old technology and the time needed to process the results took to long; up to 5 days. Whereas the "new" systems, IF / WHEN they work, give instant results.
  22. Just for the giggles, look at the finish times listed on the results page for the Open Seeded 97km groups
  23. I see there's now a query page for the results. Many riders not listed in the results due to "technical" issues with the road side scanners ... Results query
  24. If you're in the licensed groups, you would have received a board in the envelope matching the bib number. According to CSA you then have to mount both your timing board as well as the board with your bib number on your bike. If the board you received is another timing board, i.e. 2nd timing board, then go to the site below and type in your name and surname, and see which one is linked to your name for the event. https://ridejoburg.co.za/starttimes/
