Mintman Posted December 7, 2016 Author Posted December 7, 2016 Agree with Myles, the Reba seals the deal. Can't go wrong with the KTM, they are excelent bikes. I Bougt mine new in '04. Still going strong after 12000 or so km's and still running the original XT/LX 3x9 groupset. Awesome, that's very reassuring. Really appreciate your shared experiences. Your bike still looks in great shape.
PhilipV Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 The only worry on the KTM would be the derailleur hanger. Phone the closest KTM dealer and ask them if they have stock. If they don't and can't source it, then you are in deep waters. If you can procure it, sommer get one. It's the type of thing that bends at inconvenient times, then you want one in your toolbox.
Mintman Posted December 7, 2016 Author Posted December 7, 2016 You forgot to say "FATALITY" !!! Mortal Combat fan I was torn between that and "BABALITY".

Thanks Philip, I'm going to give them a call and see what they say. Hope that's the one and only potential issue. I won't be riding it hard but you never know what state those things are in until you see them
