Hi

I have a Samsung j1 ace wich I use for my strava.

Since I have started using strava I am battling with the gps.

Sometimes it picks up but most of the time it does not register.

All I want to know if it is phone related or anything else.

I had the phone at phone shop and everything is correct and up to date.

My son had the same issue on his android phone; turned out to be that his phone did not have a built in GPS, so Strava only recorded when he had phone data using 3G/4G...

The GPS issue has been resolved with the latest Samsung software update. Just make sure you update your Strava as well.

 

For the past 3 months I couldn't upload my ride to Strava because of insufficient generated coordinates or something, but since Saturday it worked!

Same problem with my j1 ace. Restart usually sorts gps connection

Is you "location"on? The upside down teardrop with the hole in the middle

Always remember, if your ride's not on Strava, I didn't happen.

Also just check that power saving function has not been activated
