Bike below 36 -DS only

Just sold my Trance 2 ans looking for a new steed.

 

I am no longer interested in enduro and do mostly xc type riding and racing( nissan, usn etc) and a ton of spruit.

 

What you recommend new only as a DS bike?

 

Jm leaning towards a 2017 scott Spark 940 or 950.

 

The 950 is 34 and the 940 a tad out budget at around 37

Get an Anthem. My riding buddy just picked up a deal for his wife from Linden Cycle. Advanced with XT groupo with fox(kashima) squishy bits.

Why not go to the classifieds?

There's a few real nice bikes there for great prices, way better specced than the Spark; just look out for the right size...

 

Edit: TREK Top Fuel on special for 34k as well, I'm a bit of a TREK fan though, so that's a biased opinion...

Because i have been watching classifieds a while and most of them are way overpriced .

 

Example people buy bike x at a shop for 10k, the price if shopping around is actually 7k then after use they try and sell for 7k ( what its new ot some shops) especially if they use the "premium " shops.

 

Example a giant anthem x 2016 ...some oaks buy them for 40 and wanted to sell em second hand for 35 when they where 32 new ( march this year)

R37k for the new 940 sounds very good to me. I was quoted R47k by local Scott shop.
