Simple incident, let that rider do what they feel is safe, you do what you feel is courteous and safe(emphasis on courteous) and move on...

And before somebody questions the 99% figure I stated, it was an expression it's not based on any actual research.

hayleyearth Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Ask yourself the question: Do you think the average South African motorist or Taxi driver, gives a crap about your legal right as a cyclist? I have never felt so threatened on the road (regarding cars) in SA as I do in NZ, been bumper-bumped off the road one morning and another morning I was literally taken out at a round-a-bout. I think it is a big problem allll over and I think with the city having 'cycling lanes' AT SOME PLACES the motorists just care less when there isn't cycling lanes around, I think they think "go ride in your lanes"....BUT there is non close to my general commute or training routes. I just wish people can start thinking and being considerate to ALL.
