Pike DPA service

Hi I've been toying with the idea of servicing my pike DPA but I dont want to attempt something that might damage the fork, so in a nutshell I'm trying to get a feeler if anyone here has tried this and if so was there any "special" tools required? I'm ok with fork servicing but the whole "DPA" part has me concerned...(also don't want to end up with everything reassembled only to find there's still parts left over on the bench)

I really enjoy doing my own services but if this requires a PHD in quantum mechanics then I'll leave it for the pros.

Thanks!

The manuals are all online, have a read through and see if anything scares you. The spring is the easy part, it's the damper that will most likely get you. How old is the fork, and how many hours has it been ridden?

It's about a year old but done quite a bit of hard hours. The damper is what I'm concerned about but I suppose if I read through everything twice I'll give it a bash.. what could possibly go wrong

You'll need the bleed fitting, an enormous allen key, a clean work surface, a chamfered 30mm socket, a steady supply of beer and the patience of a sloth.

Good luck.

Hahaha! Thanks, I like the steady supply of beer.... hmm I'll give it some thought otherwise I'll stick to doing the lowers myself and the rest for the pros

If you come short, drop me a PM. If you like I can also just do the damper rebuild for you and leave you the rest.

I service everything on my bike myself because I enjoy doing it , Stoke serviced my fork and shock and now my fork actually works better than when I purchased bike new , I had endless issues with lockout

If you going to take it to anyone take it to Droo
