Snycros side entry bottle cages

I must say, I am not enjoying the side entry cages. I find it takes a lot more concentration to get the bottle back in, with the result that I am probably drinking less than I should, waiting for dirt road / straight smoothed jeep track before taking a sip. With practice, I am getting more adept at it, but its still just so bloody finnicky. So much easier to drink on the road bike.

Me also. But I reckon its just a matter of getting used to them. I recently changed to Camelbak Podium bottles and found adapting to these undeniably way better bottles took a wee while too. Kept trying to pull open the nipple with my teeth, then trying to close it again after sending it back to the cage. Old habits, like pulling and inserting a bottle into a cage, which we've been doing ever since we started pedalling bikes, die hard!

I have 2 on the Scott, one being on the seat post, hitting rough terrain the bottle tends to slip through the bottom. First the rear tyre burns it a bit or it falls out completely. Now tying it with an elastic until some other time. Not feeling the cycling vibe at the moment????
