JWF Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Hey guys and girls, we have opened some new trails just east of Pretoria and north of Benoni. It is just off the R25 towards Cullinan, 1km east on the M30 (Garsfontein road coming from Pretoria). Search for Wattle Spring Trails on google maps We have 26km of trails specifically made for mountain bikes. There is island jump, a drop off into a "canyon" that gets ridden like a half pipe, a jump over an inverted culvert, plenty berms, timber staircases, rock gardens, pipe jumps and tons of single track. There is a yellow route for beginners and kids that covers around 6km, all on farm roads. The red route is the main route and 26km long, all the difficult and technical obstacles branch off from this and are marked as black route, specifically for skilled riders. We are open from 8h00 to 16h00 in the week and from 6h00 to 17h00 on weekends. Entry is R50 for riders for the day. The clubhouse is open at these times for cooldrinks and beers as well as coffee, crisps, sweets and chocolates. breakfast on weekends can be arranged at R35 for a bacon and egg roll. The clubhouse revamp start 1st Feb and by April we will have a full state of the art kitchen as well as shower and locker facilities. Khronis Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Who's been here? Looks interesting! I've been there , had a lot of fun on those berms.Some of those obstacles aren't for the fainthearted but there are chicken runs . I got to the top of the canyon and then chickened out. Well worth a visit
