What is the PPA doing?

I disagree - all the more to have a full accurate analysis - for all we know the running events maybe running at a loss and thus PPA is sponsoring 50% of the loss.

It would be nice to know how much PPA makes / losses by on and off road events up country.

Why would racetec time an event that costs them money? They would just say, pay X or time it with a stop watch.

Did you ask for these numbers at the AGM?

Or contact PPA and ask for them, instead of creating speculation here?

Does that look like a cycling safety plan to you?

let's not get ahead of ourselves, that is a page showing a project of theirs.

personally I like and agree with the schools approach.

oh wait, is the safe cycling only meant to be aimed at recreational / sport riders?

anyway, if you want specifics, why not email Enquiries:

Contact Liz Heydra at the PPA Office on (021) 761-3478 / 6340 or email  liz@pedalpower.org.za. as per the site?

Not a member of the association - so although I did go to the AGM (part there off), I stayed out of sight and did not ask any questions. But as race tec is at arms length to PPA (smokes and mirror), I sure a diplomatic response of Zero substance would have been given - any good politician would do that.

Hairy, I didn't post that website link and my response was not aimed at PPA, but rather at Savages'

Seeing that you have inside info on the PPA, why not ask Mr Vogel on behalf of the Hub for an official response? That would be positively contributing to the cause and shedding light on the matter.

Why would PPA put so much money in to MTB cycling when they don't seem to make anything out of it? So if its the same mind set it's possible.
