Uct dirtjumps maintenance?

Does anyone still even try to maintain uct dirtjumps or build on them? And is anyone going to stop me if I work on them/fix the broken lips and stuff?are there build days or anything still happening there...I've never even seen people ride them

Edit im not touching those jumps

Tomas Sandel is the trail boss there. Don't just pull in and do stuff. Not unless you want a beating. Dirt jumpers are very territorial. And rightfully so. It's hard work.

 

Plus. It's the middle of one of the driest summers in many years. Anything you do there is going to turn to dust in mimutes.

Thats why I asked..rather be alive, I know exactly how the hard work and other people riding it thing goes,do I need permission to ride them? Cause no one's even stopped me

message the trailcrew on instagram, or meet them at soetvlei.  Most busy building at Potatoe trails for the night harvest.

 

As Duane says - dirt jump shaping is an art - don't mess with an artists work unless you have spoken to him or them.  (Most of Cape towns jump lines are a collaborative effort)

 

Also with the water restrictions building has been a pain having to cart buckets - that would be a good place to start :-)
