Using a blood thinner long term

Is there anybody here that is using a blood thinner. What do you use? Do you have any side effects? Are you short of breath, fatigued. Do you have permanent sinus and back and muscle pain.

Warfarin is nasty stuff. Do anything not to take it.

I'm on xarelto, not long term (well not yet any way). Just started riding again after 4 weeks off and apart from being hopelessly unfit the recovery is going really well.

 

I don't have any of the side effects you mentioned. My blood clotting episode was more on the minor side though.

I'm on half a dispirin daily as recommended by my artery specialist to ensure my blood runs smoothly through my iliac artery. Had both patched (due ti iliac artery endofribosis = rubbing of artery against ligament at peak exercise) a few years ago and one is playing up again = restricting blood flow. We'll assess in July again and see how much more 'damaged' it is... if a lot we may decide to cut that inguinal ligament a bit more...

 

No side effects thus far!
