Rear derailuer hanger

Hey Guys,

 

Have an old School Silverback Monterey road bike and recently snapped the rear derailleur hanger. (I'm claiming it was because of huge watt output - that's my story and I'm sticking to it.).

 

I am looking for a replacement but as you can guess they are like hens teeth. Can import one for about R 550.00 based on the current Zuma rate but would like to support local. Are there any local suppliers of these units or does anyone know where I can get a spare/second hand unit. Attached is the pic of the broken one as reference.

Buy a new hanger that is still attached to a bike. Order a replacement hanger in the mean time. Receive replacement hanger. You now have two complete bikes. Happy days!

R550 is far too much for this part though. i bought a couple of hangers for $1.75 each from AliExpress. i made use of this guy and it actually did arrive:
