Are there any cool longish gravel roads near Somerset West where one can ride gravel grinder bikes?

 

I will be down there next week and want to try out a few gravel roads.

The wannabees trails are all basically all gravel roads with a smattering of singletrack here and there.

Grab a day permit or two and cruise those trails out to stellies and Blaauwklippen, pop into Eden, over to coetzenburg and you can do most of this one Gravel roads.

Seen a couple of gravel bikes on the wannabees trails, but for dirt roads, head out closer to paarl and play around.

it gives you all the public/districts gravel roads in the western Cape and even their surface condition.  Most open roads are in the Swartland (Malmesbury area) if i remember correctly. Hope it helps.
