I only now of Orca, BlueSeventy(Ironman) and 2XU that is available in ZA.   Coral in the Cape can also make custom tri wetsuites. It is inportant to phisicaly fit the wetsuite.  It isn't something you buy mail order.

I have a Orca Evo and for the price it is a geat wetsuite. I have the same problem as Windblown I don't seam to fit in it anymore Embarrassed.

Well I would love to come to <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Cape Town, but currently its a bit far for Moi...

I have an excellent IRON MAN sleeveLESS wetsuit that I last used in about 1998, tried it on the other day and  Urhmmm? lets say I need to do some more (lots more) training before using it again. Also the current water temperature (14 ? 15C) is still a bit coolish for sleeveless. I will definitely test them out for fit and sealing before buying.

Coral,  will send you a very detailed form you have to fill in e.g. arm lengths inner and outer, legs, waist, neck currumference etc. when you order. I believe they are also very quick with alterations and sending the wetsuit back to the client. The qualitity of the wetsuit, I don't know but there seems to be a few around.

Quintana Roo, Zoot and T1 also make nice wetsuits. Remember it is a WETsuite, some water does get in but it heats up against your body.  The problem area is usually around the neck seal that can chafe.  A good lube, like Bodyglide,  that does not attack the rubber should help. A nice hood would help with the cold temps. http://www.blueseventy.com/products/detail/skull_cap/

A friend had a Coral made for him for Ironman and he was realy happy with it.   He got it through the Running Inn In Pretoria. They did all the mesurments and handeld all the admin.

Thats not the only source of heating ...

Ever noticed how you suddenly need a P when you get into cold water...

Thanks for all the tips, I'm pretty familar with the trails and tribulations of buying a tri wet suits wetsuits (just for Mampara). My local LBS actualy hosted a Wetsuit test session yesterday at the local lake, unfortunately I could not make it, they did agree to let me take a few to the local pool and try them out at a later stage.

I was just wondering if anyone had used one of the three I listed, 'specialy the Green Turtle one as it has a good "feel" about it.
